Not being a true IT guy and having to back stuff up at work, I cannot fathom having so much stuff to back up I need to pay for storage.

It's not necessarily about quantity. By backing up to the cloud, you can have a backup program run automatically overnight so you do not have to worry about it yourself. Yes, you could run a script to backup all your stuff to an extra drive but the cloud offers the added benefit of it being off site.Quote:

could also go this route using internals....just swap drives like tapes. You have to be a little more careful with the drives (less forgiveness than an external if you drop them) but it works really wellQuote:
