This is great! Of course the university does not condone this activity but behind closed doors, I am sure they are loving this.

I smell an excessive force or assault charge/lawsuit coming out of this...that was a little too much.
I wish the video clip had shown the guy running onto the field a bit earlier, because it might have made his intentions more clear. You know, was he foaming at the mouth or carrying a hammer? Looks as though the takedown might have been a little excessive, but it's hard to say. Doesn't appear that any bones were broken and nobody died, so it could have been worse, even if the level of force might have been a little excessive.
Him. " I was afraid for the safety of my student athletes." Prosecutor. "Ok then. Have a nice day."
What Mobile said.
Was it excessive force? Perhaps but who knows what his intent was. Most likely, he was just a drunk looking for attention but what if he had run up to a player and shot him? Then people would have questioned why more was not done to stop him. Is there a happy medium someplace? I suppose but I have no problem with the smack down he received.
Harrison did this back in 2005 and there wasn't any lawsuit or anything......maybe it wasn't quite as hard though.
