That's very funny! I've seen more than my share of odd stuff, but I haven't seen a llama race! One can only speculate on the deranged mental state that led to the conception of this event. Gotta love it.Quote:

There is historic significance to this town and the hotel that spawned the llama races, but other than that, it is a pretty depressing area. Anything that brings people into town is a plus.
Could be worse. Hell, my hometown's main claim to fame is that we've been under martial law twice, and it required both the National Guard and Texas Rangers to restore order. Frank Hamer, who later gained fame for killing Bonnie and Clyde, commanded the Rangers during one of these episodes. Otherwise, we host the world's largest inland petrochemical complex, but trust me, that isn't nearly as glamorous as it sounds.Quote:
