Back yesterday. Had an awesome time in both NYC and Vegas.
NYC: Did the whole tourist thing. Visited the top of the Empire State Building, (found a novel way to beat the queues too), went on an open top bus tour, bike riding around Central Park and visited the 911 memorial museum and went to a Mets game, (plus much more). I would go back tomorrow at the drop of a hat.
Vegas: Not so much sightseeing as the guys I went with weren't interested, plus we had a lot of very late nights. Played golf which was awesome in that heat, visited nearly every casino, learned craps, watched lots of Soccer games, visited the old Vegas, did LOTS of shopping at the outlet stores, and got very very lucky on the tables. In fact I almost came back with what I went with despite being on the tables every night until 4am usually. Who needs strip joints when half the Women in Vegas walk around with almost nothing on?
The only downside to the whole trip was the airplane ride from NYC to Vegas using Virgin America. It was an appalling experience on an appalling airline which is a shame as Virgin Atlantic are so good. Also sad that the streets of Vegas are full of people pushing sex constantly.
