    Lexus trade

I'm meeting a guy in about 1/2 hour with a '97 Suburban to trade for my '93 Lexus SC400.

Lexi needs a water pump and lots of TLC. Apparently the Suburban needs brake pads and a transmission filter. Kind leery about the tranny after hearing that, but the guy says it shifts smooth and has no slip. We'll see how it goes.

Thw waterpump looks like a pretty decent sized job to undertake......... http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/engine/timingbelt.html

EDITOh, just realized the Lexus is yours. That's a big job for him, not you

    Suburban was junk.

next deal is either for a 95 Dodge Ram or a 96 pop up camper

You're looking at nearly 20yo cars. Good luck finding one that isn't junk.

Yeah, I know. The more of these things I look at, the more I like mine.

Personally, if it was me I'd go with the old car I know as opposed to the old car I don't know. I mean, unless you are a gear head and like to work on cars then I guess it doesn't matter. And if you are ok with paying way more for gas per month in that suburban. Plus all the things that need to be repaired on that suburban are going to cost way more. Everything on trucks costs more than on cars.
