The founder/CEO of iFixit.com spoke today at the CompTIA conference I am at. Good speaker, down the earth guy with cool ideas. I was not familiar with his site prior to today but now that I have had a chance to look around, I really like it.

I like the site a lot, and have made several tool purchases there for things like opening tools and spudgers. When using any of the repair instructions on the site, I'd exercise some caution, since I've found some to less than 100% accurate. Still, if you are cautious about (mostly) dealing with cable connectors, they will get you through. Overall, I'd rate the instructions as slightly less accurate than say, the average Dell laptop repair manual. Certainly not HP manual quality, but useable.
Yes, Mr. Death... I'll play you a game! But not CHESS !!! BAH... FOOEY! My game is...
WIFFLEBALL!
I've heard a lot of good things about ifixit. From what I read though, it sounds like Apple wants to cut into his business a little bit. Apple will be replacing iPhone 5s screens in the store now for a price. So I guess we'll see how this all plays out. This guy who started ifixit runs a pretty good business though. I'd like to see him keep doing well.

Never heard of it but it is bookmarked now.
It is a pretty impressive site.
I've used in the past once or twice.
Good all-in-one resource.
I've used it and contributed to it, mainly when this place was sick
I just signed up there. Maybe this will be for mobile devices what Windrivers was back in 1999.
I've used iFixit a couple of times with a macbook lcd replacement and just recently my daughter's iPhone 5 screen.screen was $65, and I replaced it easy enough following the instructions. 5s replacement screen is $100, but the apple store will charge you $269
