Even tho I considered that I was in good health and living a healthy lifestyle (eating right, no drugs/smoking, etc.) I woke up Tuesday morning, the 29th, and had intense pressure and pain in my chest. I called 911 and they took me to the ER. They ended up performing quadruple bypass surgery on Wednesday morning. I am now out of ICU and receuperating well in a private room (supposed to cost the same as a semi-private room.)
I am convinced that the recent stress I've been going through is the main culprit.
The stress of losing my job and all benefits in April of 2012;
The stress of losing my wife to a heart attack in September of 2012;
The stress of looking for a good job with benefits and going out on interviews;
The stress of finally realizing that I can't keep up the payments on our beatiful home out in the country by myself and having to put it on the market;
The stress of trying to find a suitable home that I can afford on my meager salary;
And the stress of trying to maintain a normal life for my daughter and son.
And now, of course, I have this HUGE hospital bill hanging over my head.
I can handle on-the-job stress, dealing with customers, etc. but these things outside of my control are just driving me crazy.
Thanks for letting me rattle on. It really helps out.
