    I tried that one day while messing around. Something must have gone really wrong because it did absolutely nothing. I felt like Microsoft was just teasing me by suggesting they were going to do something but they really were not. Probably out in Washington there is a room where technicians watch real time stats of people that click on this link. They just spend their day laughing at all the fools that thought their problems would really be solved by clicking on this tool.

    I'm assuming based on your post your results were better than mine.

    Yes, I've had good results with it, as long as I was working with a clean machine. These days at least a quick malware scan is one of the basic checks I run on a system before I do much else. Adwcleaner, is just about perfect for this. Extremely fast and effective with detailed info and reporting. Also, looks like the original link is working again.
