What's the Best State to Live In?

I'd love to try living in New Orleans for a little while, after that I'd live anywhere not really populated by too many people.

One thing for sure is that Houston sucks. We destroy all of our history, it is a sinking swamp and it has become way, way too populated and is still growing ungodly fast.

What can I say; Houston hasn't ever been my favorite city. All the same, The Big Easy has always seemed like a sleazy tourist trap. I've family in Louisiana, and I've spent considerable time in New Orleans, and I don't like it much. Nope, if I ever relocate again, it will be Central Texas.

I can honestly say that if I could, when the kids have fled, I'd like to live in a warmish US state where I could live miles from anywhere and have some land to work. Absolute bliss. As I get older I'm really starting to dislike people generally.
