Many people don't realize how much time "computer service" actually means time spent watching a progress bar creep across the screen. Love Netflix very much.

Just started DS9. I think I now remember why I never got into that one. Holy boring.

DS9 gets way better as it progresses. One thing about all the treks, almost all of them suck the 1st season, except voyager, and enterprise seemed fairly decent out of the box I guess. Their cast members seemed to just sort of nail things quickly, and the story arc was immediate, so ya. TNG and DS9 though, it takes a whole season before the actors find the charachters, it's just good IMO.

Honestly, the wife and I have watched all of these probably twice, except for TOS. We honestly can not get through TOS. Loved it as a child, but OMG it's just terrible. I really don't like when a series has no undercurrent, no overlying plot, not sure what you call it. When we watch them, I will usually skip the 1st season except for plot important shows, and then weed out the total crap ones.

I was reading on Reddit that those guys really liked DS9 after season 4 when Worf came over.

I think my biggest problem right now is how bland and non-convincing Sisko is.

DS9 reminds me of a Greyhound bus station with aliens.

Do Greyhound bus stations come any other way?

Accurate, except there's a war later on and they get pretty in depth with the characters.

The first season was slow out of the gate: unfocused and with Avery Brooks delivering a performance right out of a bad Shakespeare production. But, it got better, though I always thought Quark's character would have been improved by sucking a chainsaw. Still, with the Dominion War, the intrigue and clashes between the major powers in the quadrant, it was pretty fun.

Voyager started boring, and never got better.
