Yup it works. I have been using a program called Lookout, but this does almost everything Lookout does, minus the malware scans.

FYI I just tried this and it had both my tablet and phone but couldn't find the location of either because I keep location services turned off. The app I mentioned above will make the device ring without location being on, take pictures with the camera, etc. and if I request location it will turn the location services on.

Worked for my phone, found it within 35meters. Kinda.
The shown location was 16 miles away.
But ringing and remote lock work fine. For obvious reasons I have not attempted a wipe.
I just use the internet to text/call mine.
The google thing didn't ring my phone. tried it twice...might piss with it later though.
