    It's a shame, both labelflash and lightscribe enabled the production of great looking disks.

    I liked Lightscribe but I did not use it very often because a Sharpie is quick and normally I do not need professional-ish results.

    I have had Lightscribe drives for years. I have never used that particular feature.

    I don't know if it's a matter of Sharpie > Lightscribe as much as it is downloading stuff > optical discs. I hardly ever use CD/DVD anymore. I think most people these days are downloading software, downloading music and streaming video.

    Apples/oranges. This was about labeling. I realize that with so called "cloud technology" there may be less use for optical drives in your world, but in the world of business, and in the world of entertainment, there is still lots of room for discs with labels on them.

    Maybe you're on to something here. Maybe Lightscribe should start inscribing USB keys instead of optical discs and regain their business. Ah-HA!
