And they are low power. And they will last as long as the warranty plus few days if you're lucky. And if not you'll have to ship them back for service, at a cost of $50.

Rated at 1100 watts, good enough for home use. Even comes with the rotating turntable. And you're probably right, won't last 20 years but still awful cheap.

As others have said, check out Amazon.

Type in your make and model and see if they have it. It might be cost effective. I just bought our new microwave over the summer and I think it was around $200.

What the hell do you cook in your microwaves? I have never ever had to replace a microwave because it broke. Hell, I would still be using the one I got when I moved out on my own if it was not the size of a 25" console TV.

We replaced ours probably 2-3 years ago and it was the same thing. We had no idea how much we used it until it wasn't there!

    Thanks guys.

I checked amazon and other sources. The only ones I found that stated they were 100% sure to be comparable sound up at $55. I can take a chance on one that's $45, but I think it's too small.

The microwave is a $100 model, nothing I would have bought. 1st off, its too damned big, overpowered and such. I prefer a $30-40 model and think anyone would be plenty happy with $60.

Anyway, its a brand new gift for someone so I can't just buy a new one. Gotta bite the bullet and order the damn part.
