Where the heck do ya buy microwave glass turntables?

Microwave glass turntable got dropped and scattered into a million pieces. Found a replacement online, $55-60. There's got to be a place that sells them cheaper in a brick and mortar store, right?

Anyone know where to find these?

Honestly, it's better just to buy the cheapest micro out there. When something breaks you just buy another. $49 or there abouts, went through several of them with my dad's dementia/Alzheimer's when he was in the house. If it wasn't one thing it was another. Glass turntable, the little cardboard vent cover inside, the plastic wheel ring...was a real drag. But when you find a glass tray for 20-30 dollars, and you can't confirm it will fit, and you know they need to eat (mom was in the house too) you just keep buying them, and interchange what parts remain. Was a lot better then hiding the micro and forgetting to turn off the stove breaker then coming in to find he burned a stack of paper plated to the ground. Glad it wasn't the house!

I believe ILTU probably only suffers from cognitive impairment when it's self-inflicted, so I think in his case the turntable is a better buy.

Seriously, you can get a real nice microwave at Wally World for around $60. You can't hardly beat that. It's amazing how their prices have really come down from way back when they used to be called radar ranges.

And dimmed the lights when you used them.

Or maybe that was just the hand me down that I had.

that might also explain no children.

And they are low power. And they will last as long as the warranty plus few days if you're lucky. And if not you'll have to ship them back for service, at a cost of $50.

What the hell do you cook in your microwaves? I have never ever had to replace a microwave because it broke. Hell, I would still be using the one I got when I moved out on my own if it was not the size of a 25" console TV.
