So it rained all night and looks like it just stopped a little bit ago while I was at lunch.
Now if only it would keep up for a few more days, or weeks. It will be particularly good if it drops a ton of snow on the Sierras.

Sorry, mam, but I live in the Texas Panhandle, and up here on the High Plains we largely consider precipitation to be unnatural. Sure, the farmers and ranchers need some, but past a point, it's just creepy and scary.Originally Posted by northbayteky

Got a bunch of rain here in Central Texas finally. It poured during Halloween chasing away the trick-or-treaters. More candy for me. LOL.
I think the burn ban has finally been lifted here too.

Fall here is always damp and cold. I don't live in a pleasing weather kind of place I guess. It is pretty though.

Yes, it's been eerily warm until now. I remember droughts of the past. It wasn't any warmer in those droughts, it was just dry - no clouds ever. The temps were still lower in the fall and winter. It was just sunny all the time. There have been clouds, but it's been too warm. It's not supposed to be 80 degrees and overcast at the end of October.
Unfortunately, it was a one-day storm. It was sunny again all day today.
