How to properly clean a PC

No clue why I never thought of this and wow does it work. I thought it trickery as the guy making the video is one of the best VFX users on youtube (freddiwW's partner Brandon). But, I looked up half a doxen move of these and this works so amazingly well.

Totally safe for work, but turn sound down, loud.

I missed it, did he say he did anything to immobilize his fans or did he just go ahead and burn out the bushings/bearing on them?

I've actually done this with our home electric leaf blower (as well as use it to blow up inflatable pools )
it does work great. I've done it with the fans immobilized and not altered, haven't noticed any problem either way though it's not a bad idea just for safety sake......

I have a small compressor under the bench that I can dial down to about 20 psi or so that I use. One of the risks posed by high velocity air is the possibility of component damage due to static electricity generated by the air stream.

I once had an industrial shop use the high-pressure air to clean the main board of a PC. Cleaned the Caps right off the board. Not covered under Warranty

Yeah, manufacturers have gotten kinda chickenshit about these sorts of issues.

Shop I used to work in had a large air compressor with air pumped to every station on our benches. If I remember right we had the pressure turned down and had also installed a moisture filter to avoid any issues.

I've always used the compressor at full blast (100psi) - from a relatively safe distance - 5-6". Never blocked the fans, in fact I let them spin a bit, better cleaning.
I've never had a single issue.

At 5 to 6 feet, I can see where you would be safe. Personally, though, I still prefer something a little less pressurized and more up close. But, I don't worry about the fan bearings too much either.
