At one point a couple weeks ago we got down to $1.55/gallon and we were the cheapest in the nation per Gas Buddy. Recently we got up to $1.99 but have since dropped off to $1.79 or so.

Speaking of Gas Buddy, does everyone use this app? I'm assuming it is not in Europe but maybe something similar is. Is it available in Canada?

I use the Yellow Pages app that shows prices and locations in your or any selected area. Also great for finding restaurants close by in an unknown area.

I am not. I get gas when I need it, from the station that is on my way (or I may delay a bit if I know I'm going to BJ's when my tank is nearly empty).
I might save a whole $0.50 by taking a detour, but between the extra wear of the car and gas it's just not worth it, not to mention the time. Plus cheaper gas is usually worse, in the end it may cost more due to lower MPG.
