With the discount I get from our local grocery, I'm paying $1.45. 2 weeks ago, it was at something like $2.05.

I thought gas would go up today because it is Friday and because some people will start their holiday travel early. Nope. Costco was $1.78 today.

Around here, there have been some layoffs in drilling services companies, but mostly, smaller producers can still make a buck even at current prices, since they don't do much exploration or depend on expensive recovery techniques. The refinery is so automated that it runs with a small crew, and changes in production don't have much effect. But,of course, it isn't nearly the same environment as Houston.

    You people suck

I filled up yesterday at Costco, typically the cheapest around, including the base. Paid $2.23 a gallon. Still a lot better than a few years ago when it was over $4.

    I can't wait until I can afford a Tesla. :-(

Then you won't afford the electricity if Obama gets his way.

That will be no problem, we have solar on our roof. Yeah, we're low on water. On the plus side, with little rain, we still produce electricity. :-)

Plus, Tesla has installed quick charge stations (not sure of the exact name for it) and one of them is just a few blocks, literally, from my home

It still costs the same. If you use X from your panels then you don't sell X to the grid, same net financial result.

Everything from the panels goes to PG&E. What really matters is how much electricity we make versus how much we use.

1.99 where I am. There is something really wrong in my area if I am only .24 cheaper than CA.

    $1.63 here. Not too shabby.
