Spring did not arrive soon enough for this family

In the past month or so, I have been hearing about area roofs collapsing due to the excessive weight of snow. Grand Rapids has now received about 105" of snow this year with higher numbers as one gets closer to the lakeshore (like where I live). Most years we have a brief period of above freezing weather that melts a lot of snow. This year, it has been below freezing since Thanksgiving. That, combined with extra snow has spelled trouble. Nearly all of the collapses I have heard about were buildings with large, flat roofs. Here is a house a mile or less from mine that was completely destroyed by the weight of the snow.

Not near that much here and I am debating clearing the roof. Makes me nervous with ice dams that can build, let alone plugged vents.

I shovel mine off usually, this last big snow I didn't bother though because it got warmer the last few days and rained so it melted away for me!

I had one of those metal sheds from Home depot collapse on me several years ago. I was really lucky. I was recovering from my first cardiac ablation, and had no energy to deal with it. I immediately hired a friend to shovel the roof of the house after that.

I shovel off the roof of my little metal shed anytime it snows more than an inch or two for that reason. I've seen a lot of them collapsed over the years from that.

My shed collapsed few years ago. But that's only because metal sheds are flimsy and it doesn't take much to bring it to the point of failure.
I can't shovel the roof. The lowest point is about 25ft high and it is very steep. Going there in snow would be suicide.

I would but I am afraid of heights and damaging the roof I just had done with the shovel or my fat ass.

How would you heat a 10x12ft metal shed in 0F/-20C weather?
