LOL,... as cool as I think the technology is, I think I pretty much have to agree with the sentiment here. I'm not so sure this is a good idea to actually put into practical use. It's just going to increase distractions.

I am able to do speech to text on y phone, so it shouldn't be too big of a stretch to pull this off in a car. To each their own, but until legislators step up and outlaw it, it is going to be available to the masses. We need flying cars like George Jetson!
The holy grail would be to combine Google autonomous cars with Apple CarPlay. Well, maybe not the holy grail (because need it to hover also). But damn close.
I like my Garmin SatNav, it bluetooths to my Windows Phone and acts as a full handsfree for texting and speaking.
One thing I'd like to see is Siri and FaceTime built into the TV. I think that would be kinda cool to have a family to family video conversation. Like for holidays and stuff. And sure I can just prop up my phone and do something like that, but it would be cool if I could just press/hold a button to tell Siri to make it happen directly on the TV.
Technology is part of our culture and it's always evolving.
