On a more serious note, I always wanted to own a Ferrari. I doubt this is an item I will ever cross off the list, especially since I really want a Ferrari 250 GTO.

Thing is, Having driven many old cars...... they suck.

They are uncomfortable, Unreliable, difficult and just not as much fun to drive as a modern car.

They have a nostalgic quality but for an actual drive, they just plain suck.

I used to have a 1967 GTO. It ran like a scalded dog, cornered and braked accurately, had air conditioning, and was comfortable on very long trips.

    I still miss that car.

    Do you miss
    Adjusting the carb ?
    Vapor Lock ?
    Adjusting points ?
    Fouling plugs ?

I love old cars for the style and even love working on them but if I'm going to drive long distance, I would take a modern car every time.

In the case of the 250 GTO, being impractical is sorta the point. It was built for the track with few compromises. Just think what a fun filled weekend you could have balancing it's 6 Weber carbs
