Yeah, I don't do any home repairs or remodeling that require a stud finder. I don't pull cable professionally anymore so I wouldn't buy one. This weekend I replaced the old ceiling light fixture in the kitchen that used a halogen bulb with a fixture that uses 3 LEDs. I Installed the old lighting fixture about 20 years ago. Anyway, looking at that old wiring again scared the piss out of me. I just clipped the wires off the old fixture and wired the new fixture into the leads from the old hardware. Also replaced the old light switch with an LED friendly dimmer switch. The old halogen provided about 800 lumens, the new hardware gives us 2460 lumens for far lower heat and lower energy consumption. Damn! Did I go off topic again? sorry
