I gotta admit I've been watching and yes, it's pretty exciting. I don't have cable or dish so I can't get ESPN. But the local Univision station runs two or three games a day. I can't understand hardly anything they're saying but the games have been good overall.
And yeah, having the USA giving up that last goal with 30 seconds to go was a real heartbreaker!
I guess for me I'm used to hearing that British guy because I played the FIFA soccer video game for so many years. So I kinda sorta understand what he's saying.

Oh yeah! You should have seen it today with Mexico vs Croatia. Mexico won 3-1. After a scoreless first half, there was a lot of GOOOOOOOOOOAALL's going on in the second half. Lots of fun!Except I'm watching it on ESPN, not Univision.

I agree that there is more excitement for World Cup this time than in the past. I think when when today's kids make it to their 40's, soccer will be pretty popular here.

Well, I watch a shitload of British Drama and Crime shows, and I often have to keep English Subtitles turned on to follow many of them. Crikey! Even the bloody Aussies are easier to understand, mate!

Go Nederlands! Next match is Sunday against Mexico. Last match against Chile wasn't the most exciting, a lot of defense but we still got two goals and a win out of it.
